Franchisors
We represent franchisors of any size, and prepare franchise offering circulars (FOC), franchise agreements, and ancillary agreements. We register franchises and FOC in all fourteen registration states. For non-registration states, we can alert you to fees (if applicable), and prepare necessary documentation.
You do not need to currently have multiple locations to offer a franchise. We have negotiated master license agreements in more than sixty countries over nearly five years of corporate work at Mail Boxes Etc. ® (now known as the UPS Store®). The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) passed new regulations in January. Franchisors have between July 1, 2007 and July 1, 2008 to comply. The new law includes substantive changes to FOC, new delivery requirements for FOC, new electronic delivery available, new exemptions and drafting requirements.
Franchisees
We review franchise agreements for franchisees, and negotiate with franchisors. We will translate complicated language to explain to you exactly what you are signing. Are there unusual or unfair provisions? You will clearly understand, with our help.
